Wheat Grass Powder
Wheat Grass is the young, edible leaf of the wheat plant. It has a global reputation as a superfood for good reason!
Our organic Wheat Grass (triticum aestivum) is grown and harvested outdoors on New Zealand's Canterbury Plains. It grows in full sunshine and takes up the minerals and goodness of pure and unpolluted soil. The young plants are harvested at an early stage (usually at 25-35cm), to preserve the optimum levels of vitamins, minerals and natural chlorophyll and before the formation of any seed head. The result is a rich, green, highly nutritious wheatgrass full of vitamins, fibre and minerals.
With similar nutritional qualities to our organic Barleygrass, Wheatgrass differs in that it contains P4D1, a 'gluco-protein' that acts like an antioxidant, which is purported to reduce inflammation thus promoting a healthy digestive function and supporting overall vibrant health.
